And here is the 10 acre campus, a veritable pilgrimage for botanists, having largest collection of palms in India. But, as the name suggests, Green Mall is firstly a shopping complex where you can buy all types of plants and everything required for gardening - and at a reasonable prices. In fact, it is an ultimate destination for green shoppers with over 2500 varieties of indoor and outdoor plants up for sale! Whew! Apart from plants, Green Mall has everything else required for home, gardening and landscaping. These include a variety of pebbles, boulders, planters and pots made out of fiber glass, plastic, porcelain, china clay, terra-porcelain, terracotta and clay in various sizes and shapes. At Green Mall, you can refresh your body and soul under a pure, clean and soothing atmosphere. You can walk around and fill your lungs with pure oxygen which will give you a lingering and fascinating experience. Or may be hunt around a green treasure of thousands of ornamental plants enrich your collection. Given its peaceful ambience, it’s also a spiritual resort with Brahmakumaris Meditation Centre. And - a surprise for gourmet – a pure vegetarian restaurant with delicious dishes in a pure rustic ambiance… which also happens to serve Sri Lankan cuisine, as well as more mundane South Indian and Chinese dishes. The “mall” also has a tour programme designed for groups of 40-60 students. And they are very affordable as well, with the entire tour cost for each student being less than INR 300 ($6). And that includes a video presentation, a guided tour of the mall, an interactive session and an elaborate lunch with around 18 items on the menu! That’s not all...Each student is given a DVD with 12 presentations “ Let’s Save Our Planet First”, two audio CDs and two saplings of plants in pots (Aloe vera / Tulsi/ Ajwain/ Bhrigaraj/ Sansiveria/ Araliya etc.) They also explain to the students of how they can make their surroundings green even if they are living in apartments with limited space. The Green Mall also boasts of an art gallery, called the “Prakriti Art Gallery” of exclusive paintings on nature, spiritualism and life. It showcases the collections and paintings of artist Mehatab Hussain Molla, who has participated in a number of shows around the country and has also got his personal collections in India, England, Australia and Singapore.
